• The mornings will be spent discussing and exploring the presenter's view of the self-healing process and insights she has come to in her work with traumatized children.
•An overview of the methods developed as a result will be provided and the role that each of the methods plays in the therapy process will be considered.
• A slide presentation will illustrate how traumatized children have used these expressive therapies to come to terms with their painful experiences.
• The role of the therapist in facilitating the various stages of the recovery process will be discussed.
• The imagery created by the children will be explored and the recurring patterns and symbols, depending on the stage of therapy and type of trauma will be considered.
